He attended the First Baptist Church in Minco and was a member of the Minco Senior Citizens. He worked as a machinist for BS and B, and for Western Electric, retiring in 1976 then for Western Farmers, retiring in 1991. He married Barbara Jean Brown on Septemin Gainsville, Texas. He lived in the Minco community for 42 years. Joe attended school at Crooked Oak in Oklahoma City and came to Minco from Oklahoma City. He died Wednesday, Augat his home in Minco. Joe was born Decemin Durant, Oklahoma to Ira and Vera E. Burial was at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City. Wayne Childers and were under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco. Services were officiated by Chaplain Jonny Tims and Rev. Services for Ira Joe Haffner, 83, of Minco, were held Saturday, August 9, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Minco.
